Our bookkeeper Laurie, celebrated an important anniversary with ServicePro™ earlier this month. Here we share a recent interview with Laurie in which she shares her approach to tackling any problems that come her way.
ServicePro™: How long have you been working for here?
Laurie: I’ve been working for the company for 30 years now. When I started here it wasn’t even a software company. Back then Richard Deering was operating a lawn and pest control business and when he decided to focus on the software system I decided to stay on, I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.
SP: What is the best part of your day
L: I feel lucky because every single day I get to come to work and help and take care of people, all of whom are special to me.
SP: How do you deal with challenges that come your way?
L: I am generally unphased by issues that pop up. I just take a deep breath and plow through it by taking it one step at a time.
SP: Would you describe yourself as a motivated person?
L: I am surrounded by a lovely family and they motivate me to find the best in every situation. My husband, daughter, and my four grandkids.
SP: What do you do to relax after a stressful day?
L: After a long day I find the best way to relax is just being with my husband and my dog Wilma.
SP: How do you spend your weekends?
L: Weekends for us are usually spent at home doing some gardening or going out for long walks. My favorite weekend way to spend time at the weekend is hanging out with my grandkids
SP: Are you a sports fan?
L: Yes very much. I love my College & NFL Football – Go Bucks!
SP: What kind of book/films do you like to read/watch?
L: Action, Comedy & All of the Marvel & DC Comics Super Hero Movies.
